Το πρότυπο DVB-H στην Ευρώπη.

Abstract

Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία γίνεται η μελέτη των χαρακτηριστικών του προτύπου DVB-H, με έμφαση στα θέματα εκείνα που αφορούν τη σχεδίαση δικτύων για μετάδοση DVB-H περιεχομένου. Αρχικά παρουσιάζονται τα πρότυπα DVB και έπειταα αναλύονται τα τεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά του προτύπου DVB-H στο φυσικό στρώμα και στο στρώμα ζεύξης δεδομένων. Στη συνέχεια περιγράφονται οι υπηρεσίες στο DVB-H με βασικότερα σημεία τον τρόπο οργάνωσής τους, την πρόσβαση σε αυτές και την ιεραρχική διαμόρφωση, και αναλύονται θέματα σχετικά με τα δίκτυα DVB-H. Αναλύεται το πρότυπο DVB-T και εξετάζεται η κοινή χρήση των προτύπων DVB-H και DVB-T, καθώς και η συμβατότητά τους. Γίνεται επίσης μια σύνοψη των πιλοτικών προγραμμάτων που βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη στην Ευρώπη.

The main aim of this thesis is to study the characteristics of the DVB-H standard, with special merit to the specific characteristics that deal with network planning of broadcasting DVB-H content. Presenting initially DVB standards and then analyzing the technical characteristics of the DVB-H in the physical layer and data link layer. Furthermore, this study gives a description of the DVB-H services and especially their organization, access and the hierarchical modulation, as well as a detailed analysis of DVB-H networks. Analyzed the standard DVB-T and the common use of the standard DVB-H and DVB-T, along with their compatibility is also investigated. In addition a summary of the technical trials and pilot projects that are currently developed in Europe is also outlined.
