dc.description.abstract	Σκοπός της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι η ανάλυση, ο σχεδιασμός και η υλοποίηση μιας υπηρεσίας αναζητήσεων στο δίκτυο σελίδων του eΒay. Ο σχεδιασμός είναι αυτός της διαδικτυακής υπηρεσίας που χρησιμοποιεί ιστοσελίδα για την διεπαφή χρήστη, με παράλληλο μηχανισμό ενημέρωσης μέσω ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου. Αυτό καθιστά την πρόσβαση στην εφαρμογή εύκολα και άμεσα από παντού και από οποιαδήποτε πλατφόρμα και την ενημέρωση για νέα αποτελέσματα αυτόματη.Η υλοποίηση χρησιμοποιεί τις καθιερωμένες τεχνολογίες C# με asp.net και στην προγραμματιστική διεπαφή που προσφέρει το eBay για την ανάπτυξη εξειδικευμένων εφαρμογών. Η ανάπτυξη έγινε στο Visual Studio 2013 και στοχεύει στον IIS για την φιλοξενία. Προσφέρεται, πέρα από τις τυπικές λειτουργίες του eBay, η αναζήτηση σε πολλαπλούς ιστότοπους του eBay, η αναζήτηση ανεξάρτητα της νομισματικής ζώνης του προϊόντος και η δυνατότητα πάντα των ενημερώσεων μέσω email.	el
dc.description.abstract	The object of the present Diploma thesis is the analysis, design and implementation of a search service on the eBay network. It is designed as a web service which uses a web site for its user interface and implements a parallel mechanism for updates via electronic mail. That allows for easy access to the application from any place or platform and for updates without further user intervention. It is implemented based on established technology such as C# and asp.net and the eBay programming API. It was developed on Visual Studio 2013 and targets IIS for hosting. It offers typical eBay functionality, cross-site eBay searches, searching independent of currency area and allows for email updates.	en
