Χρήση της θεωρίας των κυρίων συνιστωσών στην ομαδοποίηση συσκευών κινητών επικοινωνιών.

Abstract

Η ανάλυση σε κύριες συνιστώσες χρησιμοποιείται σε μεγάλο βαθμό στην ανάλυση δεδομένων αφού βοηθάει στη μείωση των διαστάσεων των υπό μελέτη προβλημάτων ενώ αποτελεί το βέλτιστο γραμμικό σχήμα όσον αφορά το σφάλμα των ελαχίστων μέσων τετραγώνων. Σκοπός της συγκεκριμένης εργασίας είναι η εφαρμογή της παραπάνω θεωρίας στην κατηγοριοποίηση των κινητών τηλεφώνων ανάλογα με τα επιμέρους χαρακτηριστικά τους. Επίσης παρουσιάζεται η ομαδοποίηση των συσκευών της κινητής τηλεφωνίας μέσω του προγράμματος MINITAB ενώ τα αποτελέσματα παρουσιάζονται μέσω γραφικών παραστάσεων.

Principal component analysis (pca) is a mainstay of modern data analysis. In particular the pca technique is used to reduce multi dimensional set to lower dimensions for analysis and is theoretically the optimal linear scheme in terms of least mean square error. The aim of the thesis is to apply the aforementioned pca technique for the categorization of mobile cellular liandsets based on some features i.e. the technical specification of handsets cameras and displays. By the exploitation of four benclimarking studies carried out by the digital technology laboratories (DTL) on behalf of the Germanos S.A. Mobile technology retailer. As well as the use of pca processing in the Minitab software environment. The 19 mobile cellular handsets under examination are categorized. The results of such a categorization may be useful for marketing purposes by handsets’distribution and may help the consumers in their choice.
