| dc.description.abstract | Στα πλαίσια της παρούσας εργασίας γίνεται προσδιορισμός της δομής και του φλοιού μέχρι και τα 35 km βάθος στον ευρύτερο χώρο της Κρήτης. Για το σκοπό αυτό προσδιορίστηκαν οι ταχύτητες διάδοσης των σεισμικών κυμάτων ανάκλασης. Στη συνέχεια κατασκευάστηκαν πρότυπα των ταχυτήτων διάδοσης των κυμάτων αυτών. Επιπρόσθετα χρησιμοποιήθηκαν και σεισμολογικά δεδομένα, τα οποία απεικονίστηκαν πάνω στα μοντέλα ταχυτήτων, με στόχο να προσδιοριστεί το ρηχό σεισμογενές γεωλογικό στρώμα της περιοχής. Τέλος προσδιορίζονται οι βασικότερες ιζηματογενείς σειρές αλλά και οι βαθύτερες δομές. | el |
| dc.description.abstract | The shallow seismogenic layer in the Front of the Hellenic Arc is considered responsible for a large number of earthquakes occurred in Southern Aegean and especially around Crete Island. Information concerning the seismic velocity structure and local seismicity in the area around Crete Island are combined in order to trace the swallow seismogenic layer. In addition, the relations between the shallow seismogenic layer and the main sedimentary sequences as well as deeper structures are researched. | en |
