Ανασκόπηση του νερού στην Κύπρο.

Abstract

Στη συγκεκριμένη εργασία γίνεται επισκόπηση των επιφανειακών και υπόγειων υδροφορέων της Κύπρου. Στόχος είναι να εξεταστεί το πρόβλημα της έλλειψης νερού που απασχολεί την Κύπρο εδώ και πολλά χρόνια. Παρουσιάζονται προγράμματα που έχουν υλοποιηθεί για την επίλυση του παραπάνω προβλήματος καθώς και τα αποτελέσματα που έδωσαν. Τέλος παρουσιάζονται οι μελλοντικές προοπτικές καθώς και πιθανές ενέργειες που θα μπορούσαν να βελτιώσουν την υπάρχουσα κατάσταση και να αξιοποιήσουν στο μέγιστο ποσό τις υπάρχουσες ποσότητες νερού.

The review of surface and groundwater resources of Cyprus is the subject of this dissertation. Its aim is to emphasize the water shortage problem that thorns Cyprus for a lot of years. It is presented that multiple surface and underground projects were made in the context of water policy since the independence of the island, and also the effectiveness of these projects. Future measures are referred, designed to use every aqueous resource of the island and also other measures for saving water that is so important for Cyprus.
