dc.description.abstractIn this thesis the reader can learn about mold making through the PTC Creo 2.0 software and in particular making a mold cavity for a carbon speargun handle for both a right and left handed people. In this theses the reader can learn how to use Vericut too , a program which simulates the milling sequence and the user can see the mold making or any manufacturing process , so he can make the process on the mill as optimum as possible. At first the handle was designed in Creos’ Freestyle mode which is a new feature and the designer can easily make any shape and geometry design via a mesh and some basic geometric shapes such as rectangles , circles , triangles etc.. After the designer made a design he was happy with he can continue to 3d printing in order to see the ergonomic side of the handle via the program Catalyst Ex and the 3d printer. The designer was happy with both the 3d model and the design and he continued on making a mold cavity through Creo and Vericut in the CNC mill machine. lastly after the molds were made, the designer made with infusion (which is explained on how it works) a carbon fiber left handed handle.en
