Σκοπός της πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι η πληροφόρηση του αναγνώστη σχετικά με την ιστορική διαδρομή, εξέλιξη και διαμόρφωση του Συμβούλιου της Επικρατείας( ΣτΕ), καθώς και του ρόλου τον όποιο πρεσβεύει στην κοινωνία του σήμερα. The CoS was founded in 1835 as the highest administrative court with the main purpose to control and regulate the legality of the public administration. The constituent Members is the president, the vice, the advisors, assessors and rapporteurs who are judges are appointed for life and exercise capacity of the regular judge. The responsibilities of the CoS are divided into two categories: i) the judgments and ii) the administrative, which have to do mainly with the utmost importance and to resolve disputes. Finally, the decisions issued by the Council of State is the result of a majority of the vote of the judges who are present at the site of action and compel the authorities to comply with them.
