In the recent years due to the gigantism of the internet and the free cross-border movement of goods, more and more talk has been made about the flourishment of the trade. The consumers can choose the best possible way to meet their needs and are a part of a huge crowd due to the elimination of borders between countries in trade. The interests of business as well as the consumers are in conflict and there have always been merchants who were with or without fraudulent attempt trying to exploit the purchasing power of consumers. For this reason, it was deemed necessary from early on by the states of all nations to adopt laws and regulations for the protections of the consumers. These laws are found in a particular system of ethics and consumer rights are well protected. The laws enacted by the United Nations did not remain the same over the years. Gradually changes were made in order for them to be as simple as possible to put in practice; they were made flexible in order to protect as much as possible the consumers while minimizing costs for businesses. Several movements have been made for the protection of consumers, but none of these have yet to reach a satisfactory level. Both consumers and suppliers should foster the law of the protection of the consumer in order for them to be aware of their rights, as well as their obligations.el
