Σύγκριση περιφερειών Ελλάδας-Βουλγαρίας-Ρουμανίας

Abstract

Στην παρούσα εργασία πραγματοποιείτε σύγκριση των περιφερειών 3 Βαλκανικών χωρών-μελών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης. Συγκεκριμένα η σύγκριση αφορά τις 13 περιφέρειες της Ελλάδας, τις 6 της Βουλγαρίας και τις 8 της Ρουμανίας. Τα στοιχεία προέρχονται από τις βάσεις δεδομένων της EUROSTAT και αφορούν τα έτη 2003 έως 2009. Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι η σύγκριση της κοινωνικοοικονομικής σύγκλισης και απόκλισης και το τυχόν χάσμα που υπάρχει ανάμεσα στις 27 περιφέρειες. Συγκεκριμένα τα στοιχεία που χρησιμοποιούνται αφορούν το Α.Ε.Π., το περιφερειακό εισόδημα, την τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση, τις υγειονομικές & τουριστικές εγκαταστάσεις, την έρευνα & τεχνολογία, την καινοτομία, την επιχειρηματικότητα, την ανεργία και την απασχόληση κατά ηλικιακή ομάδα μέσα από 17 μεταβλητές. Λόγω της πολυπλοκότητας της έρευνας και του μεγάλου όγκου των στοιχείων για να ανιχνευθούν οι σχετικές μεταβολές στις 27 περιφέρειες εφαρμόζεται η μέθοδος ¨Ανάλυση σε Κύριες Συνιστώσες¨ (Α.Κ.Σ.)- ¨Principal Components Analysis¨ (PCA) στα ετήσια δεδομένα των 27 περιφερειών αφού κύριο χαρακτηριστικό της μεθόδου είναι η μείωση των διαστάσεων μιας βάσης δεδομένων. Το ερώτημα που έρχεται να απαντήσει η παρούσα εργασία είναι στο πόσο τείνουν να ‘’ πλησιάσουν ’’ή να ‘’ απομακρυνθούν ’’ οι περιφέρειες των τριών χωρών-μελών της Ε.Ε. από το 2003-2009 έχοντας ως ένα ακόμα κίνητρο να διαπιστωθεί πόσο εφαρμόζεται η Συνθήκη της Λισαβόνας όπου μέσω των προγραμμάτων στήριξης ‘’αποσκοπεί στην μείωση του χάσματος μεταξύ των διαφόρων περιοχών και στην κοινωνικοοικονομική συνοχή τους’’ δηλαδή της Ευρωπαϊκής ολοκλήρωσης.

In this thesis a comparison of three administrative districts of Balkan EU members is conducted. Namely the comparison concerns 13 Greek administrative districts, 6 Bulgarian administrative districts and 8 Romanian administrative districts. The information emanated from the EUROSTAT database regarding the years 2003 to 2009. The prospective of the thesis is the socio-economical convocation and deviation as well as the potential gap among these 27 districts. Namely the data used concerns the GNP, the administrative district income, the higher education, sanitary and touristy facilities, research and technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, unemployment and employment by age group through 17 variables. Due to the complexity of the research and the massive amount of the data in order for the relevant variables in the 27 administrative districts to be discerned the (PCA) ‘Principal Component Analysis’ method was applied in the annual data of the 27 administrative districts. Since the main trait of this method is the curtailment of the data base. The question this thesis attempts to answer is whether the administrative districts of these three EU members approach or dissociate from the 2003-2009 having one more incentive to ascertain which is to what extend the Lisbon Convention is applied, since through support programs it aims at the limitation of the gap among different regions and their socio-economical coherence, meaning their European integration.
