During the administrative reform in Greece, in line with successive dictates of European directives, our country is introduced into eGovernment, primarily as the use of information technologies by government agencies and various public sector organizations, in order to offer reliable, direct, and transparent services, while cutting expenses and increasing productivity. As a part of the general design of the policies towards e-government, the creation and implementation of the current electronic system for procurements and contracts with the public sector was a step of critical importance. That is mainly supported by three platforms: the National Electronic Procurement System (ESIDIS), the Central Electronic Registry for Public Procurement (KIMDIS) and the Transparency program initiative which we examine in this paper. We aim to study whether the goals for the creation of those platforms are met, the degree to which they influence trade between the greek public sector and its suppliers and to what extent they are used, and integrated in everyday actions of public administration.en
