Παράγοντες ανταγωνιστικότητας των εταιρειών της ελληνικής καλαθοσφαίρισης.

Abstract

Η παρούσα πτυχιακή έρευνα σχεδιάστηκε ώστε να μελετήσει το επίπεδο ανταγωνιστικότητας του ελληνικού πρωταθλήματος σε σχέση με άλλα ευρωπαϊκά πρωταθλήματα αλλά και τις απόψεις των φιλάθλων και των Ελλήνων αθλητών που αγωνίζονται στην EKO Basket League για τις επιπτώσεις του Salary Cap και άλλων θεμάτων που αφορούν το ελληνικό μπάσκετ. Η βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση εστίασε στις έννοιες του μάνατζμεντ, της ανταγωνιστικότητας και του Salary Cap. Συλλέχθηκαν δευτερογενή δεδομένα από προηγούμενες έρευνες που έχουν γίνει, καθώς και από την βάση δεδομένων του ΕΣΑΚΕ. Για την συλλογή πρωτογενών δεδομένων, παράχθηκαν 2 ερωτηματολόγια με δομημένες ερωτήσεις κλειστού τύπου. Τα αποτελέσματα δείχνουν ότι μια πιθανή εφαρμογή του Salary Cap θα είχε θετικές επιπτώσεις στο ελληνικό μπάσκετ.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the level of competitive balance of the Greek basketball league compared to other European leagues. It also aims to gather the opinions of the Greek sports consumers and Greek professional athletes that compete in the EKO Basket League, about the impact of a possible implementation of the salary cap measures in the Greek basketball league. The literature review was focused around management principle, impact of competitive balance and salary caps in sports leagues. The secondary data was collected mostly from previous researches and the ESAKE database. For the primary data, 2 questionnaires were created. The findings show that implementing the Salary Cap measure will have positive effects in the Greek basketball league competitive balance, which might result in the Greek national basketball team reclaiming past glories and reaching new heights.
