It is widely accepted that we are going through a period of time in which almost all human needs and everyday life are directly linked to technology. New technologies have 'invaded' the modern households and businesses, and in particular the tourism and hotel industries. 'Traditional' service and hospitality are timidly positioning themselves in a more modern environment consisting of automated service systems and machines. The purpose of this thesis/ study is to explore modern consumer reviews and preferences regarding the replacement of human staff by automated methods of service. In particular, there will be an introduction to a new type of tourism. That of Robo-Tourism or R-Tourism, which combines the latest technological developments in the industry, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), IoT (Internet of Things) technology systems, automated service and robotics . Finally, conclusions and opinions will be presented on the extent to which hotel staff can be replaced and suggestions on which areas can be improved, taking into account the research that has preceded them as potential visitors.en
